Why did the original poster remove all the images and change the thread title. Now it's a complete mess for anyone new looking at the thread.

I don't blame him a few replies were pretty cold if you ask me.

Someone asked a question that did not get answered so far. "Why is the Z grill so rare?"

Edited: My response here doesn't make sense without the original post. So, I've removed it.

Sorry Littleriverphil, I read it without it making an impression on my brain. Today, in another post someone said how much fun it was to grow older. Boy, is he kidding!

Well it was posted about the same time the OP changed the post, when I posted the comment, it took longer than usual to post. I began my post under Z grill Discovered! and posted under test. Rather a confusing time to ferret out the "only a few sheets each of the 1¢" partial answer.

Well according to the FAQ's on this website it clearly says:

"You may edit or delete your own posts at any time. Just go to the topic where the post to be edited or deleted is located and you will see an edit or delete icon (EditDelete) on the line that begins "posted on..." Click on this icon to edit or delete the post. No one else can edit your post, except for the forum Moderator or the forum Administrator. A note is generated at the bottom of each edited post displaying when and by whom the post was edited."

https://www.stampcommunity.org/faq.asp#edit

Yet the "delete icon" mentioned in the FAQ is no where to be found when editing your post! The only option I had was to delete the content. I also requested the post to be deleted by a staff member which was ignored and the post was originally restored. Based on your comments in conjunction with the websites FAQ's makes you a hypocrite and the fact that the website moderators/owners don't allow users to delete posts, even at a users request is ridiculous!

Hello BenFranklin, I like your choice of names a lot! Thank you kindly for coming back to say it as you see it!

Wecome to SCF,

I also came in the hard way. There was a member quite a while ago when
I was aggravated said " stay and you will learn." He was correct.

I came here knowing very little. Stay, read, and you will share and learn! I hope to hear more of your questions or about your collecting interests.

You asked the post be removed at 11:35PM. You went in and broke the thread about 2 hours later at 01:57 am. Is the expectation that we stay awake 24/7 to service user requests? Do you really feel that the Mods are not doing their jobs if your request is not handled in less than an hour or two? Nice.

UM the fact remains that your website says you can delete a post but there are no options! And far as my request for the post being deleted I never mentioned or complained about how fast they could do it! I simple stated my request was ignored. READ WHAT I WROTE. ALSO HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THE WEBSITES FAQ?

https://www.stampcommunity.org/faq.asp#edit

CLEARLY SAYS YOU CAN DELETE A POST! NOT!

BenFranklin, what really matters is..., did you learn anything about grills? And more specifically, why it appears yours is not a Z grill.

Ben, also remember that many well seasoned collectors learn something new here everyday. The answer is always no if you don't ask he question. We all keep chasing the ruby in the mountain of rocks and you will hopefully do the same. The only reason most here always assume it's the least valuable of whatever you hope is, like you we've all been brought back to reality too many times.

Keep chasing and keep posting your stamps and questions here. The site is what it's advertised to be, a great place to learn and share.

I hate to see it when a man overplays his hand, embarrasses himself and then can't own up to it. I'm afraid he will only get what he deserves. Against that, he could come on board looking for friendly voices, and he will find them. The knowledge base in this list is too deep to just ignore and walk away, and the sharing has been remarkable for as long as I have seen and known it.

To those seeking to learn about grills, there are lessons to be learned from this.
