Hello everyone,

I'm new not only in this forum, but also to the hobby itself. I started my little stamp collection less than a month ago. My husband, who collects coins and is a regular on the coin community forum, found this message board for me. So here I am.

I'm 26 years old and I'm from New-Brunswick Canada. Right now, my stamp collection is very very small. I haven't yet decided on what type of stamps I will focus my collection on. The only stamps I have so far are a few that I bought at the post office here. They're mostly souvenir sheets that have recently been issued here in Canada as well as a few international stamps that came with a little stamp collecting kit I bought at the post office.

I also want to try my hand at collecting used stamps. I think it's going to be fun.

Welcome to the forum, nuit_boreale!

We are glad to have you with us!

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have about stamp collecting. There are several beginners here as well as some experienced collectors. Probably several members have the same questions as you.

I guess it really is a small world. I live near Bathurst. It's nice to see fellow New-Brunswickers here on this board.

Welcome to our site - and to stamp collecting!

I would be glad to help you get started with your collection. If you will email me an address, I will send you a selection of German stamps on paper. There might even be some other "stuff" in the envelope - one can never tell!!

That would be awesome Dianne and Laswabbie! Wow, thank you. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether I have to wait until my 50th post?? I tried contacting the administration for info, but my computer is giving me a lot of grief at the moment. It crashes every time I try to open a pop-up window such as the (contact the administration) link on the FAQ page.

You don't have to wait. Just email me your address and I'll get something in the mail to you sometime next week. I've got a few new goodies that I'll share with you along with the German on paper!

Hey Dianne, I just got your stamps today. They're great. Thank you very much. Also the little hand written card was nice. So I guess handwritten correspondence isn't dead after all :D hehehe
