I researched the name E.S.Williamson..Quote: the writing on the cover was writen to(something) e.s.williamson
My results..If you "google" her name E.S.Williamson 1895 she does not come up as E.S.W.Burson(she comes up as Williamson)in the state of Ohio and Muscatine,Iowa.
the handwriting on the cover is infact Mrs E.S.Williamson.. |

In my humble opinion that is what makes covers & postal history so interesting. A cover tells more of a story than the stamp itself. |

Brunson appears to be a name local to Muscatine, Iowa and there are web pages for this name in Muscatine. |

Not enough squiggles for Brunson. I'm in the corner with those who read it as Burson.
As for the merits of covers for storytelling, there is that. But I like the riddles that a stamp may bring by itself. |

Quote: i'm back to < proove everybody wrong > . com Cart and horse problem here. If you are the one making claims about a philatelic item, the burden of proof is on YOU. You've made some claims about your cover. Now let's see the evidence that backs it up. Wishful thinking is not evidence. Do you not see the capital "B" in the name on the cover? Williamson has a capital "W", but it does not have a capital "B" in it. |

E. S. W. Burson or Binson as far as I can tell. Williamson is not a possibility. |

now i'm a humble man..i figured the capitol "B" is really an object of two small letter "Ls" poorly handwritten.in Muscatine,Iowa history there is a E.S.Williamson listed in the late 19th century, but no Burson or Binson.
a handwriting expert could possibly determine if the capitol "B" is really two small letter "Ls" poorly handwritten.
the subject cover its cancellation is Chicago,IL this means it was mailed from Chicago to Muscatine Iowa. |
