Does anyone have a current Scott's Catalogue and is Heligoland listed in Germany yet & is Lombardy-Venetia still only listed in Austria rather then in Italy?

I don't have a '10 year model, but the '09 still has Heligoland between Hatay and Honduras.

laswabbie, thanks for the update.
How about Lombardy & Venetia, BOB Austria or with Italian states?

Sorry, I don't have those catalogs. I only buy the Germany/Guatemala volume and the US Specialized.

Anyone else have a newer Scott that can confirm where Lombardy & Venetia is placed.

Thanks!

Mike

In the 2010 Scott catalogs...

Lombardy and Venetia remains at the back of the Austria listings in volume 1. Heligoland remains in volume 3 between Hatay and Honduras.

I would think it unlikely that Scott would move either listings in the near future. L&V were part of the Austrian Empire when those stamps were issued; annexed by Italy afterwards. Heligoland was a British possession when those stamps were issued; ceded to Germany afterwards.

I'm not saying I agree with Scott's arrangement; but that would be the reasoning behind this arrangement (not that Scott is consistent about this!).

Thanks! I did not think it had change just looking to confirm.
Heligoland in the German Michel is listed with the other German states, so they should know.

Lombardy & Venetia was an autonomous Kingdom within the Austro-Hungarian Empire and had it's own currency and postage system. After 1859 Venetia was lost to Sardinia and later issues should be listed as Lombardy since that's all that was left.
Other places in Europe that had equal status with L&V, like Poland & Finland both autonomous countries within the Russian Empire and those issues are not liked in the BOB of Russia like L&V is in Austria.

One thing for sure about Scott. They are consistent about being inconsistent.
