I recently saw in the August 17th,2009 Linn's Stamp News article about the British post boxes souvenir sheets. Cool red post boxes!
It got me to wondering how many stamps have post boxes/mail boxes on them?
PLEASE share your stamps with mail boxes on them--would love to see them!

Thanks!

Gussyboy,
Nice to see you and nice scan.
The scan is not of the souvenir sheet though, but is a pane from the Prestige Booklet issued on the same day.
I will be getting this issue when I go to the UK in September and will get an extra few for anyone who needs one. Will use one for a competition on my return about Letter Boxes

Will check out some letter boxes later.

Londonbus1.....always comes later

Here's another mail box stamp. We have one like this now.
I remember when growing up in the country--occassionally some young stinkers would demolish our mail box for the heck of it. Dad would be so furious! (This is not meant to give ideas to any stinkers)

I accidentally ran over a mailbox once. I hit a patch of ice and couldn't have been going more than 20 miles per hour. It was less than a month of getting my driver's license in the dead of winter. I never did play mailbox baseball.

I replace our mailbox about every other year. Sometimes the snow plows demolish it, sometimes cars hit it, sometimes it's a delivery truck, sometimes just kids.

While on a recent vacation to Florida, my wife started taking pictures of mailboxes in various shapes ie. mantatees, dolphins, mermaids, lighthouses, etc while we were driving along the scenic ocean byway the A1A to visit St. Augustine. Some of the pictures did not come out clearly, because I was driving. LOL
