The Aug 17th, 2009 issue of Linn's stamp news, pg 26-by Les Winick ,shows an inedible biscuit franked with a 1912 one cent Washington (Scott #408) stamp! Supposedly a student in 1913 was so unhappy with the University's food (Univ of Florida) that he sent a biscuit to a friend to show how bad the food was. The biscuit is in the Univ archives. There is doubt that it went thru the mail-no sign of postal markings-but an interesting story anyway! ha

My kids would probably tell you that I've cooked up a few things that would give that biscut a run for it's money.
