I'm new to the forum, but I frequent Coin Community. My dad has given me three binders full of gold replica stamps, and I was wondering if you guys could give me an approximate idea of value.

There are 92 stamps in total, and they were mailed to my dad weekly back in 1983. They came in an envelope with a card to explain about each stamp.

I've attached a picture of what one of them looks like. I'm terrible at uploading, but this is what I've got.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The weight of the gold foil replica is small. So most of the value is in collector appeal. I estimate about two to three dollars each. Check for them on ebay and see what they go for.

I have some of those I got from them. They cost original about $7 each. If you can get 2-3 each now, you would be lucky. I doubt you can find any buyers for them. They have eye appeal but not much value.

Welcome!

Unfortunately the other posters are correct. I have a set too. They have eye appeal but their resale value is small.

Maybe you can use them as the beginning of a new collection! Stick around here and before long you will have so many stamps you can't see straight.

Holy cow, Dan has the right of it there! I'm still new to this hobby and I've already lost my desk to piles of sorted stamps, postcards and various other things that need to find a home. My wife has already threatened my life because I started looking at her desk for more room. :-)

Devlin,
Then it is the extra drawers, the bookshelves, the closet, the room. That's how it goes!
