The precancel forum could be a subcategory of the general stamp collecting forum. I know someone else has mentioned it in another post. I think with the recent admission of several precancel collectors here on the SCF this could be a worthwhile topic. Plus precancels for the most part are inexpensive and fit into a wide variety of specialty collections.

I concur. This area seems to be gaining momentum, at least, in this community. I find muself more drawn to precans with the passage of time and of course discovering that they are not exclusive to the U.S. |

Yes I agree,I was surprised at the amount of precancel collectors there are on this forum and I for one wouldn't mind a subcategory along those lines,thanks Dude for mentioning it.  |

One more point....I was not very interested in precancels before I started coming here. I have seen plenty of posts about them and it got my curiosity going. Maybe there are others that want to know more. If there was a category dedicated to them people might look more often. Who knows? |

Yes, I'd like to see a subcategory for precancels. The fact that it might attract more members specializing in precans would be a plus. I'm sure I would learn a lot and hopefully make some contributions as well.
