look at China, People'd Republic of numbers 49 and fifty.
the cat says just above that perf. 12, imperf meaning they com perfed and imperf

now why is that? im totally lost on these china stamps. so if they have gum on back does that mean not reprints?

Those stamps were not reprinted. They were overprinted on existing stock. Therefore, there are no reprints of that issue.

Again, to make sure we are on the same page, these stamps were never REPRINTED.

They were overprinted in 1950 and then issued on August 1, 1950.
