.i have to restrain myself just because something is a good buy ! I hope someone can relate

I can relate to this Phil! So my advice is this: The best way to restrain yourself is............ you won't like this, ...........is,.. don't go.

Now seriously, when you see a good buy, walk away and after looking at other items before buying anything, I think selective buying will then be a bit easier for you.

Marty

You could always treat it like grocery shopping. That is, take a list of only the things that you need to purchase, only enough money to purchase those things on your list, buy what you came for and leave! If that fails, go shopping hungry and buy anything that looks good, go home with a smile on your face.

Oh, I believe that this is my 50th post too! How cool is that?

I went to my first stamp show last month. The 4th Sunday show in New Haven, CT. I was actually pretty good about spending. I think I spent more on gas than on stamps

I stayed with my list of needs, in order to get on the road before the Sunday beach house traffic on I-95.

My problem is being bored at work. I start looking around on ebay and Stampwants.

Danbury's actually about the same distance from Bridgeport. My wife would like me going to that show, then she could tag along and go to Danbury Mall.

Still need 13 post to get to 50!!

Phil/Bob - It was a last minute thing. A friend (you remember Eliseo, Phil) invited me to go with him. I hadn't planned on going, with the BNAPS show just last week-end, but he's driving, and we're only going to be there for half the show. We're going down Thursday, staying at a hotel near the airport, and will be at the show all day Friday. On Saturday, I'm not sure how long we'll be there, as I'm not controlling the agenda, but I expect we'll be leaving about lunchtime. I think Eliseo wants to hit the malls in Syracuse before we go home.

Of course, all this hinges on whether I can remember where I put my passport.

Restraint, oh please! Have ya all seen the economy lately. Be patriotic and get out there and buy, buy, buy! Phil, for a time saver just find the largest box lot the dealers have to offer and snatch it up. A quick buy and then you do not have to worry about spending hours at the tables to search through stock. Always here to help with decisions like these Phil. With friends like these ya can't go wrong. -

Phil...I can just see you taking Jopie to McDonalds and telling
her to order off the dollar menu..

She will slam you with her pocketbook...

So after meals, you will have a buck or two to spend on stamps
