hello to all.

i have been doing alot of sorting lately.
i think think that I have found some errors and would appreciate help to see if they have any value and if anyone collect these types of items.
i do not know if they are of any value but would like to see if anyone knows who collect these types of things.

sorry is should explain what I think are errors.

starting left to right

half of the year is cut off the first stamp

the seconds stamp lost over half of the detail.

the third is miscut and the year is at the top and not the bottom.

the next looks like a mini stamp and I do not see a list for it.

the fifth has mis cutperfs

i understand that they may or may not have any vlaue but I did not think it would hurt to ask.

thanks dan

I do not collect errors or varieties as a topic but do keep my eyes open for the odd one.

I have noticed that the more dramatic and noticeable the error the more people want it and so the price is driven up by demand.

The missing detail / color on the second stamp would be an example of this.

I think that the misperfs are next on the list. The more dramatic again, the more its' worth.

(There is a catalog for Canada errors and most likely USA also but I generally look on ebay and see what people are actually paying.)

Hi Dan......

Could get a better assessment with larger photos........

#1 Try looking at the date with a decent magnifying glass.....could be just scraped.

#2 looks like it had something splashed on to it and wiped off......I'd bet it did not come from the P.O. in that condition.

#3 is a fairly dramatic perf shift but still just a freak, not an error......even so, I'd hang on to it.

#4 is not a stamp.....it's a cut out from the Post Office Philatelic catalog......note the diagonal line through the face value........decent example of an illegal use.

#5 Might possibly be a really sloppy perfin.
