Okay, here's what i've got so far. Each album page has three squares across and four down. Each square is approximately 50 mm x 50 mm. This is a square large enough to accomodate a commemorative stamp with selvedge, to show the dated postmark.

Along the top of each page I have the month and the soon to be decided upon year (ie. January 1960. Above each box is the day on the left hand side, and the date on the right hand side, like this: 5 Thursday.

What do you folks think?

David

Sounds great David. Once you get started on it I'd really like to see pictures of your progress.

Just thinking of this, it reminds me of the old postmark ledger we used to keep when I worked at Canada Post. We had a manual hammer that the date had to be changed in everyday. There were blank forms, much like what you describe, with empty boxes approximately 2"x2" in size. After you changed the date on the hammer, you were supposed to ink it and make an impression in the next empty box, and then visually check the results to make sure the type was in rightside up, etc.

Sometimes it's fun to be cursed with a long memory...

Maybe you should search the internet and buy an actual calendar from the year you pick, with big squares for each day?

That would make sense, but is it printed on acid-free archival quality paper?
