Tom wouldn't give you a penny for a hundred of them and I wouldn't give you two cents for any of them. People that have posted here have given you great advice.

A good idea to give them a wide berth. The product is very attractive but tends to wear off and the after-market sales value is truly bad. Our local dealer sells them for 10/$1.00 in his shop.

And my guess is that they've been in his shop for awhile, and will continue to be in there awhile...

Stay far away from places like that, unless you are interested in flushing your money down the drain. Problem with those things is they have no market, couldn't resell them in a million years. And often those places keep you on their list, so everylittle thing they come out with, they are sending you offers to buy, all crap and it's the devil to get off it....

The resale value is pretty much the same as a normal FDC -- 5c-10c wholesale, 10c-50c retail. There is no added premium for the replica.

Beauty/enjoyment is in the eye of the beholder. That's where the true value lies in these covers. Enjoy your covers, just as you would enjoy the minimum catalog value stamps.

These covers are really pretty. I've bought a few over the years.
Anyhow one dealer that I help out at the shows bought two binders full of these covers. A guy came in and went from table to table trying to sell them. Finally when he got to our table, he showed them and my friend at first said no that he wouldn't be able to resell them again. The guy said he only wanted $20.00 for them. There were 200 total. So my friend gave in and gave the guy $20.00.
Wouldn't you know that within a half hour, another one of our friends came in to the show. He came to the table to chat a few minutes and spotted the covers. He asked how much. He was told that they were going to be taken out of the binders and put into the "50 cent box" but if he wanted to take all of them he could have them for $50.00. They were sold. Right then and there. We were amazed that anyone would them that fast. Especially the guy who bought them. He doesn't collect things like that at all, so he either spotted something we didn't see, or like everyone else who buys them, he thought they were pretty.
You never know what catches the eye of some people. My friend thought he would have them sitting around for years. Maybe sell one or two every once in awhile. He never guessed that he would sell them that quickly.
