Just thought I'd post this Scott #87 I've just received in the mail,It's not well centered and has some thins though I would call it an inexpensive a hole filler it's still a Scott #87,what do you think about it. Close up of the grill Thanks for looking Harry

Thanks Kim,Butch and Tom It is a very strong grill and that's what attracted me to this #87,as for the centering I suppose I'm a little pedantic with my stamps and when I buy something that's a little off center I tend to worry about it maybe a little to much, also for the price I paid for it the #87 came rather cheep and that would be because of the centering/thins I think so really I shouldn't worry about hunting for another more centered one and be happy with the one I have. thanks for your support regards Harry |

Hi Harry.......
A nice grill, in this case is worth as much or more than good centering.......a lot of collectors have space fillers from the grilled group......a real nice #87 can be quite expensive. |

Thanks for showing Harry, I just looked at my #73..centering is about the same..fat on one side and into the frame on the other ! |

Quote: as for the centering I suppose I'm a little pedantic with my stamps and when I buy something that's a little off center I tend to worry about it maybe a little to much, Harry, This issue is notorious for poor centering. A well-centered Blackjack commands a real premium. Dan |

I'm pretty sure my Blackjack is missing several teeth.
Now Butch, tell you me you're in better shape than that! |

The very clear grill is an eye catcher. It makes up for centering. Personally, I would not classify it a "space filler". |

Good solid grill on that one Harry. Also, finally got your pack on the way but forgot the bonus pack. It was still sitting on the desk when I got back home. So next mailing you get two bonus packs. |

Harry, a hole filler is better than a hole in my opinion. Quote: Tell me the truth how many of you have seen these this well centered
I have only seen two 73's in my life (in person). One in Bandicoots collection, and one he gave me. I can't remember what his was like, but mine is a bit off centre. Here is the pic... Any comments welcome. Steve |
