Got this today at the post office--I love it! Just had to show off my beginning collection of stamps!

Yep, face value at the post office. I see they're already selling them on ebay for more. The post mistress offered me the Yoda's (are those recent?), but I said to give me several of Star Wars instead. Then asked for the Chinese Lunar's which they have numerous of.She told me to let her know what stamps I needed and she would get them for me.

Thanks for admiring my stars!

I'd say you've got a great friend at the PO. You need to take her some flowers some day! Andby the way, I'd buy all the Star Wars I could afford and use them for postage if nothing else!

They told me at my local post office that they will keep selling the older sheets until they are ordered to send them back. Then they are destroyed. Burned even.

I just keep thinking of one of the theme songs from the movies. I also like the Star Wars Stamps and even voted YODA as my favorite online. I have a couple pictures of the R2 D2 mail boxes with me next to it with my son in a Star Wars onesie "FUTURE JEDI MASTER". I went to my local post office the day they were issued and made unofficial First Day Covers for all 15. I am a true geek.
Everyone sing along now.

Just want to ask you a stupid question? Is that a legal tender postage stamp? Or is it a poster? I wonder if they are still available at the post office. Even if they were at the post office in my Big Town of Tunica,ms (pop;1000) probable would not know what I was talking about if I went in there and ask for it. I think I will try tho. Nothing Ventured nothing Gain!

That Star Wars sheet was from 2007. The individual stamps peel out and are useable legal postage.

This souvenir sheet can still be ordered from the usps web site. I still see them for sale at stamp club expos when there is a post office representative at the show. I really enjoy using them on letters and packages. The large Darth Vader stamp and picture of his light saber and Death Star look great on packages. These will probably not be available much longer, though.

3flash,
If your post office hasn't run out of them you may be able to pick up a sheet. I bought the uncut press sheet, which is 3 sheets wide I think, and I will eventually frame it.

If you are buying star wars at face value then it must be good.
There are so many people that collect the stuff the value is always going to be good.
Nice stamps Gussy
