Tina......

They are modern stamps...from 73'......they may have been issued in very low amounts which could be the reason for the high values.

Stamps issued during the Cultural Revolution are always in high demand, especially those in MNH condition. They pretty consistently go up in value and will continue to do so. Both mint and used stamps during that time were not kept, as "collecting" was frowned upon. My relative kept their stamp collection hidden in very small boxes. But even during the Cultural Revolution, it was almost impossible to maintain a stamp collection unless you had "contacts" and "privileges". Otherwise, it simply wasn't worth the risk.

Nice stamps to have. Congratulations!

Nice finds, Tina.

When you sell those, you will be able to buy lots of the stamps you want.

Most of the commemorative PRC stamps from 1966-1969 are premium items. Also, several of the MNH commemoratives in the few years preceding and following that time-period.

Unlike some of the stamp issued during 1980s-1990s, in which the catalog price is largely speculation-driven, the stamps issued during the Cultural Revolution are true premium items, which is why they continue to go up in price steadily.
