That's fine too, just putting a buck or two into an envelope. I've bought and sold like that as well. It's just that it's difficult when it's between members not in the same country or at least between Canada and USA. It's still nice to know when it comes up if paypal is accepted. I don't mind even paying an extra 50 cents or so to cover charges, even though technically that isn't allowed by paypal to ASK for charges, but I don't see anything wrong with offering, or just adding in a bit extra. I'm bidding on a lot now. I'm in Canada, the stamps are in Australia. It's less expensive for me if I win the lot, to add 50 cents for paypal, then it would be to use almost $2.00 for postage.
