It's taken me eight year to drink that much J.D.(100 Gallons= about 400 lt),looking forward to the next eight years and yes I know but why stop when your on a good thing .

Rev - those are beautiful. I think if I was rich I'd start up a revenue collection. You've got some great material.

How long have you been collecting revenues?

I started collecting stamps before I could read. I started by matching the pictures. I started collecting Revenues around 7yrs(Dad Got me hooked). Sold my Original Revenue collection to pay off college about 25 yrs ago. I then promptly started it all over again and haven't stopped. I just wish I would have kept 5 stamps that I had(Oh well).

In my humble opinion the early US Tax Paids are some of the best looking stamps ever printed. The graphics and engravings are outstanding. Unfortunately it is a dieing art form

The cancel on the lower one fascinates me.
Looks similar to the "Pizza Wheel" roller cancels of Belgium.
I have never seen the type on your rev before.
