I know this is an old post but I have to start off my first post with some south african info :)

This type was first printed 1972 (15th of May) with the watermark RSA tete-beche and was printed in two distinct (light and dark) shades. Then again in October 1973 as part of the definitive issue with no water mark and phosphorescent paper. There is also chalky paper stamp from 1974.

Now go here and introduce yourself you scallywag !

https://goscf.com/f/11

Then when you've done that, go here and read all about London 2010, A Festival of Stamps....I think there's a pic or two of you somewhere...and also a big breakfast !

https://goscf.com/t/8180

And when you've exhausted yourself on that drivvle, go here and find out what BeeSee [That Tuvalu collector] is on about ! You can ask for help too, they don't bite here !

https://goscf.com/t/8196

Then when you've done that you'll deserve a nice bite of that Gibbons Chocky if it hasn't already been devoured !

Londonbus1.....loves giving orders !

Oh yes....

Thanks for the welcome nuggethill. Londonbus I have done all three of your requests - I still have my Chocolate, I will have to eat it soon as I dont think it will last the years like stamps do.

Just another tidbit - According to my South African catalog there is also an imperforate pair of the original printing. I have never seen one of the pairs but I'm sure it will pop up in an auction sometime.
