As an off-topic follow-up to Swabbie's Kermit thread, I found this in today's mail.



I realize the Statue of Liberty is part of the pre-sort and not an actual cancellation, but I'd have to say I find her more appealing than "Ink-Jet Kermit"

That's the first like that I've seen......and I agree.....it's much nicer than the Kermit spray-on cancel.

I don't recall seeing one either. This one was 'junkmail' from Chase Bank.

I figure someone here will know something about pre-sorted mail. Am I correct in assuming the mailer can select whatever logo they want to use?

nice serious tone, together with the flag, looks great!

also reminds me of my nice and memorable spiral staircase walk up to Liberty's hand with the flame, way back when it was still allowed.

Lot of history off of lower Manhatten..i was touched by Ellis Island..imagining the humanity streaming through there..they paid their dues !!
