SCF Getting Better And Better

i don't know if I am the only one that noticed..but the forum keeps getting better and better..seems like we have more folks who are sticking around and sharing their knowledge and scans..and less of the "what are my stamps worth?" folks who post and disappear..thanks also to Bobby and the moderators..we try not to make life too difficult for them

I signed up in March of last year, but had to take a few months off. Now that I'm back, I've noticed more "high-level" discussions. Threads about color variations, printing methods, forgeries, etc. To be honest, a LOT of it is beyond my collecting level, but I'm reading it all and trying to digest as much as I can.

I believe that is the key to success -- as long as the quality is high, members will return to read and learn.

I echo the kudos to Bobby and the Moderators. His recent post about signature spam is just one indication of all the work that goes on behind the scenes; work that most of us never know about.

Just two of the recent topics that have taught me a lot include the discussions on revenue issues and the thread on pneumatic mail tubes in London, New York etc.

You can tell that this is a well run site by the absolute absence of wrinkles in the operation. I can't remember how long it's been since we've had a site issue - or even a serious issue with a family member.

Good on ya to Mom and Pop SCF and to all the kids who keep this place great!

I'll have to echo what has already been said. The posts are great, I learn something new here all the time.

And thanks Bobby and the Moderators for keeping up such a wonderful forum.

I don't always have a comment to post.....but I read just about everything posted by all members. I think it's great to have so many members posting great information consistently and new members that do not feel like they're being "pushed to the curb", and we're not leading into an elitist group either, there's plenty of material for collectors at all levels.

I think the other Mods and Bobby would agree with me, when I say it's you guys that make it a great site. Our parts as Mods is very minimal, we don't have to do much, because you guys do the right thing (most of the time). Bobby does a lot more though in the background. Thank you Bobby.
