Hi everyone. First I found the coin forum, with a bit of detective work I discovered where the stamp forum was. I started collecting stamps when I was about 10 years old, quit for a long time, then in the mid 90s discovered ebay & the fun of bidding on and winning stamps. I collect mint US, mostly focused on the older stuff. However I tend to stay away from the real old stuff (stamps below Scott's # 150). I'm tired of seeing all the holes in my album, looking forward to filling everyone of them (I wish).

Hello and welcome, phil88. There seem to be a lot of comebacks these days. I kind of side-stepped back into collecting after my father died and was left with the task of selling some of what he left behind on ebay. Anyway, before I could sell it all, I was collecting again.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I didn't know there were so many stamp collectors out there! And so many are named "Phil"... Is that a coincidence or what?

Welcome Phil,

I too collected stamps in my teens, then stopped and just recently started again. Like you I don't go after the rare or older stamps, not that I wouldn't take them. Do it mainly for the fun of it. There is a lot of help and knowledge in this forum, I'm trying to soak it all in. If you got questions don't be afraid to ask.

Once again Welcome,
