Has anyone come across truly peelable hinges like the old Dennison hinges?

No..

That's one reason I switched to mounts for my new albums.

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.

Same here. I use the Fold-O ones if the Dennison ones are not availible. Basically the Fold-O ones can be had for a lower price than the Dennison ones. Do not forget that we are talking the originals and not the new issue ones now.

I did a search for Fold-O-Hinge and came up with FoldO-Hinge for about $3.28 a pack while the Fold-O-Hinges are closer to $6.67 (both were on e-bay). Does anyone know what the difference is between these two?

Yeah, the cheap ones are new and not as good -- the name is different, but as close as they could get to the original, hoping to fool you.

its hard to believe no one can duplicate the old dennison receipe...every hinge I have ever had since them have curled in the packet after a while...the dennisons NEVER failed..sometimes I pick up a collectors remainder lot at a yard sale and find half a pack or so of dennisons..they might be 30 years old but still good !!

Here are the results of an analysis of six
different stamp hinges put into three categories:
1.THE BEST: peel easily, never rip, never take
a "divot" out of the stamp or album page.
Dennison (26 % gum)
2.ACCEPTABLE: peel if you are very careful;
sometimes rip, sometimes take a "divot" out
of the stamp and/or page.
Dennis (16 % gum)
Unitrade (33 % gum)
3. POOR: almost alway rip when removal
attempted; often removing part of stamp or
page.
Gibbons (39% gum)
Fasto (42 % gum)
G&K(38 % gum)

And make sure they say Dennison with an "o" as you have it, since Unitrade in Canada puts out a Dennisen with an "e" in a similar package that are little different from the Prinz or Supersafe hinges most everyone is selling today.

Nice Shepherd, by the way. Lost my own German Shepherd friend of many years, recently. Her photo was posted here in a pet thread, long ago.
