Ok I comparison shopped Netherlands on ebay and Stampwants..remember I am impartial just looking for the best deal...well theres no mistaking Poppe on Stampwants..hes all the dollar prices for 8 cent stamps....Rubystamps has the exact same items for the exact same prices on both Stampwants and ebay so hes a waste of time..i was a bit surprised that I found better prices on ebay than on stampwants..this is on the Netherlands stamps I was looking for..not a general statement !

have you ever looked at delcampe.com auction site?? based out of Europe (Belgium, I think), started by a stamp collector for stamp collectors.

/edit/
actually, you want to look at delcampe.com they have several TLD's, (like ebay has .co.uk, .de, .au, .ca etc.) but the .net site lists everything from all of the TLD's in one place.

okay, for some reason it will not recognize delcampe(dot)net, and keeps wanting to change my post to delcampe(dot)com. not sure what the problem is, but the site you really want to check is delcampe(dot)net.

Phil you use Wensy and you get better deals on it than Delcampe,
I've checked out Delcampe and prefer to stick to Stampoffers or Wensy
just my thoughts.

My singular problem with Delcampe, provided what I desire is worth international shipping costs/times, is settlement. I had a major problem attempting to set up payment via moneybookers so if I am there shopping, I look for someone that will also accept Paypal.

I am interested!

The stamp auction arena for me is public and postal auctions in Australia and it works very well for me. I know the workings of 11 of these auctions by there descriptions only but get a very good feel for what the lot is and what the bid should be!

A lot of the talk, on auctions is about ebay type auction places.

How popular are public and postal auctions outside Australia? I wonder! KGV
