I think this would be the only way to describe this cover sent from Western Australia by Triggersmob with out a stamp,It's rare to receive any letter in the post without a stamp and I'm surprised that this one was delivered mined you there is a hand drawn stamp on it so either they (the postal workers) need glasses or Steve a good artist,Steve have you ever thought of Art school . all jokes aside this is the letter. Anyway this has gone straight into my stamp-less cover folder as a keepsake. regards to all Harry Oh P.S. Thank you Steve edited for thank you

It's been so long, I had given up on it ever arriving. This was sent as a test, when our postal workers were on strike and promising to deliver letters, even if they had no stamp. Just goes to show what can get through the postal system. Oh! and art is not one of my strong points (as if you couldn't tell). Steve |

Amazing Harry
It is definately an oddity alright and a keeper for sure.
It is amazing what can go through the postal syatems at times but I think that the clincher here is the 'spray-on' cancellation stating "No Stamp Detected" I wonder if that particular cancel will be noted in future catalogues (?)

I have just received my cover in the mail, (badly cancelled) Perth Western Australia had a postal workers issue on before Christmas and vowed to deliver all stampless mail. I sent two to myself and only one came back.

Alas Nuggethill, it is a fizzer, not worth posting, the only copy that came back and the machine missed it. It didn't occur to me at the time, but I could have printed "2009 mailmans dispute, stampless cover" in a box in the corner (darn!) I was in line at the counter, and when someone mentioned this to the postmaster he reacted quite angrily, and said it was a hoax. I just threw two covers in the box when I left just in case. |
