I am just wondering if anyone in this forum also collects Canadian postcard scenes.
I collect the area of Muskoka / Parry Sound plus Canadian steamers, Canadian military and WW ocean liners. I also do a specialised study of postcard scenes for the steamer "Noronic".
I believe that there is a wealth of postal history to be found on postcards that are sometimes harder to find on covers.
I've ignored postcards up to now. You do have me interested and intrigued. I've seen some old ones of Halifax, NS and 'knew' the street or area, jyst 100 years later. I've seen some interesting posts on here also to do with this difference in time on postcards.
Lake Minnewanka any interest? What interests me, is there three strikes on the rear? A dumb canceller on the stamp and two CDS's Surely one of them cannot be a duplex, they are too far apart. Banff to Paddington
Glad to see that there is some interest in postcards.
That is a nice card from Lake Minnewanka but it is not on my area of Muskoka / Parry Sound. However, please do not let that stop you from posting any more pics of postcards. If I knew more about attaching images, I would be posting some great scenes and also some neat cancellations etc.
