I found this "pre-printed stamp" on very thin/fine paper. There's writing on the back as if this were writing paper with a stamp printed on it? It appears to have a cancellation. Wasn't sure which forum this question belonged in. Maybe someone can tell me if it's something I should keep   |

Six pence seems like kind of a lot, compared to the proliferation of smaller denominations during George VI's reign. What would that have paid for on postal stationery? Regular, domestic delivery? Or something more?

An overseas aerogramme maybe?
It does seem quite a lot.
I wonder if Stampdog has the whole item or just the piece?

London Bus has it, it is a "cut square" from an aerogramme. the tinge of blue around the edge is the giveaway. here is my example  |

Nice everyone.  Triggersmob, Those three bearded Ozzie Shepherds are following the Star as it heads towards that Holy Place. The Horses stoop for water. It is Christmas down Under.
