Found my way over here, so I thought I might as well introduce myself.

I started collecting stamps as a young child (around 7 or 8), when I was given a set of SCOTT International albums (like 13 volumes, with probably several 1000's of stamps already in them). Through friends of my grandparents, who lived near Washington University (lots of international students in that area), I started getting weekly packages of stamps from everywhere (literally, a shoebox full of stamps, every week!). Between what I cherry-picked out of the boxes for my own collection, and trading the excess with other collectors and dealers in St. Louis, I amassed a rather extensive collection. Unfortunately, teen angst and raging hormones shifted my attentions, and the entire collection was sold off.
Fast forward 25 years, and as my focused coin collection of Southern Slavic states was nearing completion (at least as far as what was within my limited budget), my need for collecting got the best of me, and I plunged back into stamp collecting, but only the stamps from the Southern Slavic states, to accent and accompany my coins and notes from the region. Due to more dramatic changes in my finances this past year (divorce from my 2nd wife, gaining custody of my 16 year old daughter from my 1st wife, etc.), my stamp collection has been placed on the back burner for now. However, I am hoping to dust it off and see where I stand, and perhaps do some minor trading and purchasing.

Since I got a new scanner for Christmas, perhaps I can find some time to start scanning some of my collection to show here. Just give me a little time, as I do still have a lot of coins & currency that need to be scanned in to add to my on-line collection.
