I have migrated over here from CCF courtesy of the wonderful Christmas present that Bobby has provided for us

I am not an active stamp collector and have not been in almost 20 years. I heavily collected as a kid, going through old mail of relatives to scavenge for stamps and purchased from Mystic Stamp Co for years in addition to buying (then)current stamps and annual albums from the USPS. I collected coins concurrently, but my meager childhood budget allowed me to purchase(and get for free) more stamps than coins. The later I got into my teenage years, the less interested I became in the hobby. Also, the maddening need to count perforations and be able to tell the difference between carmine rose and rose carmine drove me batty

Several years ago, I got back into coin collecting and never severiously considered taking up stamps again. My budget is much larger now but I feel that I can seriously concentrate on only one hobby so coins won out. My problem is the fact that I still have a reasonably large stamp collection with some nicely valued stamps. I will probably use this forum to re-educate myself with philatelics so I can then proceed to liquidate my stamps to fund the coin habit. I plan on offering quite a few for sale here once I reach 50 posts

Welcome biokemist6!

Great to see you here

Report to the re-assimilation forum to be injected with philatelic nanoprobes.

(Resistance is futile)
