You want to trade one of your non fancy ones since you have so many? I can swap you a few Washington 2 cent & three cents (green) bank notes for one.

Still sorting the 2 cent bank notes. But, I will make up a pack for you. Email me your address if you haven't already. Sorry, I misplace things in this little computer box.

Ok, back on topic now. Here are some 1869 3 cent Locomotive pictorials with bulls-eye cancels.

When canceled hard usually you can see the grill imprint from the front.

Nice centering.

These were usually made from cork or rubber handmade stamps.

Here is a pal for your Washington t360 ole Ben Franklin. I really like how fine the detail is on this fancy cancel. Wonder if they were hit at the same post office?

Now this is a Fancy Cancel.

Great cancels, 1775mac!

The "wheel of fortune" cancels do look very much alike.

Very nice t360, but here is what gets me. One has to remember that these cancels of the "wheel of fortune" were made over a hundred years ago. And yet they have as much if not more detail than the digital cancels on FDC's of today. Amazing as to what our forefathers could accomplish back then even without our technology of today.

1869 1c buff Franklin with a fancy "circle of wedges" or "pieces of pie" cancel on a drop letter in Waterloo, NY.

Only a stamp collector would associate Franklin with "buff"!
