Hello Everyone,

I'm gonna call this a newsletter(?)for lack of a better word. It is 4 pages that are printed on both sides and then folded in half and addressed and stamped on the half folded part. When it is folded it measures 6 1/4" x 9" (unfolded 12 1/2" x 9")but I had to do some shrinking of the scans before I could post them.

Half fold side with address info, stamp etc.

Here's a page

Here's another page

I didn't scan all of the pages because I figured 2 pages plus the mailing part were a good enough example.

I was wondering, what does the marking TARIFFA RIDOTTA mean? I would take a guess that "tariffa" has something to do with tax?

If there's anyone here who can translate Italian I would be interested in what the postmark says. "Giornata Mondiale Del Risparmio"

Has anyone seen things like this anywhere? Please let me know. I'm curious about what the value would be on something like this.

Thank you in advance.
Lucky

I refer to them as "Broadsheets" taking the vernacular from the first days of the printing press.
I have examples in Australia from "Radiola" that were posted to both city addresses and combined remote post offices/stores that would sell everything from needles to saddles.
Radiola was the source of the only music discs of 78rpm
to country folk, some advertised new singers on the block, one fellow was named umm..Elvis Presley.
They are great sources of clear "slogan franking machine" cancellations.

Hi Lucky, I'm Fabio from Italy.
The letter you show is a medical newsletter.
You read "Tariffa ridotta" 'cos to send this kind of letters (called "stampe") there was (until a few months ago) a special reduced fee.
The stamp is very common (15 lire ordinary michelangiolesca) and the postmark is a special one "world saving day".
The letter is pretty and well preserved but the value is minimum (I think 1 or 2 euro).
Regards and sorry for my english.
Fabio
