Hello Community!

Am New to the Stamp Community Forum!

Just heard about this forum from a member who posted about it on the yahoo group: ajdstampersclub.

Am looking forward to becoming an active participant!

I currently collect the following U.S.A. Philatelic items:
FDC's--single stamps only (no FDC sheets) & Postcards.
Mint Sheets
Mint Postcards
Stamp Pins (jewelery)
Stamp Coffee Mugs & Tote Bags.

I do have a collection of Foreign Stamps that I will either be trading or selling once I've had enough posts on this forum to list them. These are older foreign stamps (late 60's to early 80's) that I collected while growing up & now would like to conecentate solely on U.S.A. Philatelic!

Am currently looking for:
WV 5 cent Stamp Coffee Mug
WV 5 cent Stamp Tote Bag

This site looks extremely organized, of which I am most appreciative!

Thank you for this Opportunity!

Hello TLC and welcome to the Family.

I only collect USA stamps including all the BOB as well. After you get your 50 posts in maybe we can trade some of our duplicates.

You should post some pictures of parts of your collection.

If you have any questions, anything at all...... just ask and someone will be along to help you.

Thank you Butch!

What is BOB?

Is there a certain forum or area where I post my pictures?

And I definitely have some duplicates!

welcome! You can post a picture in any forum, just try to choose an appropiate related area such as World Wide stamps for non USA stamps. Be sure to join in the current and older discussions, polls, topics. Glad you found us.

BOB is an abbreviation for Back of the Book. Meaning the stamps found at the back of an album or catalog examples would include: Postage Due, Airmail, Special Delivery, Officials, Revenues, Hunting Permit stamps, Special Handling, Parcel Post, US Territories, etc.

Thank you stamperdude!

Seems I have lots to learn: Stamp lingo & abbreviations! ;-)

This is a wonderful site & I just discovered the "sister" coin site too.

Thank you for your help!

I also have a collection of Plateblocks, these are older ones when the U.S.P.S. used to number the stamp sheets individually. I don't really care for the new stamp sheets all being numbered the same.

Does anyyone really collect plateblocks anymore? I never hear too much about them, although I had someone contact me about an sheet of stamps I had & they were wanting to divide it up into plateblocks. The newer stamp sheets would seem difficult to divide into plateblocks since they do not have the perforations around the border. How do you divide these?

I do collect plateblocks, the ones before self-adhesives took over. I collect everything in US stamps up to 1966.

Sorry, can't help you with the mug or tote bag.
