It ought to be interesting on what the "expert" values it for. it is encased in a token from New York. The stamp is the "Rose" 3 cent Washington.

Collector Auction could bring in $4,000-$6,000. The seller took $2,300. He had originally got it as a child from an antique shop owner, he had found it in an old cash register and she gave it to him.

Robert Siegel Auction Galleries did a sale of these about 2 years ago. Something around 200 lots.

Apparently, they were sort lived only a few months of production by this particular company in 1861-1862 and only around 1,000 known to currently exist. I would love to have an encased stamp from the civil war era. The stamp was from 1861 and the encasement was produced in 1862.
