Rod, to the left of the window, what is that - post office lock boxes or a wine rack full of bottles?

Standard Australian Postbox BeeSee,
so people can pick up their mail afterhours.

We are not British, we drink our beer and our wine chilled :)

The "no parking" sign probably indicated a road hazard nearby
regarding tourist buses, or perhaps mail box owners were
causing a road hazard by standing there.
