I wish I could make stamps of this but Picture Postage (personalized) refuses any flags or copyrighted stuff so I haven't tried.

The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) harbour Web Cam looking at the end of peninsular Halifax from across the harbour in Dartmouth.
(on my computer (slow) it doesn't refresh automatically, I have to hit CTRL-F5 every 5-10 seconds)

http://www.cbc.ca/ns/weather/harbourcam/

A view looking ocean-wards showing the NATO warships at berth. If I am right, this is Pier 21 where the cruise ships dock when they are in. The long white building is the grain elevators and conveyors, with the first container terminal off to the left. Some of this area I think you can walk along the harbour front until you reach the power plant and the container terminal which are restricted.

The hills in the background and seen from across a stretch of water (Northwest Arm) between are some of the outer precincts of Halifax.

Right from where the ships are you get a great view looking inwards along the harbour towards the first bridge and the HMCS (Her Majesty's Canadian Ship('s)) Dockyard full of Canadian warships and submarine(s) (they hide the subs somewhere.)

A second cam with the same view but zoomed out )pulled back)

Goodonya Puzzler! It sounds like the KGV bug has bitten you. There is no known cure for this condition. It does inspire good health. John

John,
Nice to see you back, hope the computers woes are fixed and running.
Yes, Good Health is important. One step towards the right way is a step away from the wrong way also!

Thanks Doug! It is very nice to be back! The girls really had a bad time with no computer. It has taken a couple of days for last best to get computer time but with age I know when to be last best my life could depend on it. It is a tough school here when it comes to the computer. For me I just sink into stamps and the time flies by. The girls are very dependent with school, blogs and the rest of it! John

Received email Phil. Thanks. Sent one back in reply to yours.

By the way, look at the thread under Canadian Stamps about Picture Postage stamps. Bee See has got a windmill stamp from Quebec, nice. Jopie would like it I think.

I know the fellow also that he traded with so if he has any more I will get one for Jopie and you.

A HUGE box full of used Picture Postage may be the antidote.

Bee See,
yes, that would do it.
Does such a mythical animal even exist?
Maybe in a century from now.

Phil,
If I can get one. Haven't tried yet. I will keep you informed.
