The postal rate is due to go up in May sometime. The stamps planned for release this year all show 41 cents. Will they just change the value or complete redesign the issues? I'm looking forward to the new Baseball issue!

First class is going up to 42 cents early May.....I imagine all class rates will go up also.

Linn's 2008 U.S. Stamp Program shows the March 6th American Scientists stamps as the last of the 41c commemoratives. A make-up rate 1c Tiffany Lamp stamp was already issued on March 7th. The first of the 42c stamps will be out next month. There will be four new 42c American flag stamps issued on April 18th and five 42c American Journalist commemorative stamps issued on April 22. I would assume none of the remaining stamps planned for 2008 will change in overall design, just the 41c denomination will be updated to 42c.
