well, as I see it a used coin never goes down in value, it will always be worth face value... so last years quarter is still worth a quarter.. find me someone who will buy all my used 42 cent US stamps, and I'll gladly split the difference with you.. :) and welcome to the forum (I also collect some coins here and there, my best finds have been in change given to me when I buy stuff, got a 1963 $5 silver cert. that way.) |

Welcome tumbleweedtrumpet! Yes, coins are still around. You use them to get more stamps. We have coins called Loonies ($1) and Twoonies ($2) here in Canada. The Loon is a wild bird in Canada so when they put it on the first $1 coin it was natural to call it that. When you are cold your mind works slower sometimes (and we haven't noticed that yet) They did it right though. The Loon is also on the $1 stamp here. Very nice engraved issue it is. My brother likes coins. Some rogue gene at work there I suspect. |
