No pictures... sorry, but interesting? Dates are Aug 1873; Aug 1877; July 1884; & May 1886 And then the uncirculated ones...

Hello, you don't have postcards, but postal cards. They are a form of postal stationery and are listed in the Scott's U.S. specialized catalog. The postal cards with Liberty have different watermarks which affect type and catalog value. A few of them have condition issues and will lower values and if any of the unused cards have preprinted messages on the other side that will affect value too. The messages and cancels on the used cards can be of interest too. Will |

There's a subforum on here for postcards. The postal cards were issued by the government and post cards by numerous private printing companies. |

Anyone ever go to Brimfield? That's Brimfield, MA. Three times a year they have what is called antiques week. Anyway, there are postcard dealers there who will buy anything. And some have thousands of old postcards for sale. |

I'm thinking about going to Brimfield. I've heard good things about it from others and it's just a few hours away. |

Battlestamps: good luck finding a parking space! We have driven THROUGH there a few times, but have never actually stopped and shopped. Some day...
As for those postal cards, I have some with interesting ads on the backs. I should take a fresh look at them... |

Hi I have a pretty good collection of the early post cards .My question is where to look for the water mark on them and if you use the lighter fluid method will it leave a stain on the card. I thought I would ask before attempting to Do this on my own. especially on some of the Mint vf ones . |
