So I got my Scott Specialized US catalog.
Decided to go through (again) all the FDC's I got awhile ago..

Here is an interesting one. In 1935 the guy was "sweatheart" and big boy
on later ones in 1945 he was Major at West Point.
There are several FDC's with letters in them.

Not as interesting as finding letters, but I have heard of a few collectors who have purchased FDCs from South Africa and the Homelands and have found the previous collector has placed UMM stamps of the same issue in the envelope. Always check the contents :)

Interesting point. this is the second letter I have found in this persons FDC collection.
The envelopes where UNOPENED. The guy never read the letters. I am still opening up covers and finding forms from the post office, advertisement information. In a number of them from later 1934 there is a card form the post office in Washington, DC telling people when the PO will be closed and by what dates to get their mail out for delivery.
