Kim,
according to the article both types 3 and 4 can have either tear drop shape or straight. So I didn't count that.
The hair, toga button and Line in Acanthus convinced me.
that was a 1200dpi scan..

Agreed. The tear-drop is not the preferred test.

Nice Barry machine cancel. There's another cancel similar to that one called Hampden, but it seems to be harder to find.
