So, I found this today. Is this more interesting for the stamp or the cancelation? I've included the back of envelope too.

I LOVE that cover. I have been trying to add a Lindbergh Airmail cover to my collection to an offshoot of my Route 66 collection. That particular route would have had a fuel stop in my hometown of Springfield IL at an airstrip just off Route 66. Your cover is interesting because it is an advertising cover via airmail. I like the horseshoe cancel. This particular cover would be on the low end of value due to its condition and no pilot autograph. Are the contents still in the envelope?

That's OK. If it was a collector sent cover, it more than likely just had a stuffer card. You might want to check out the airmail cover forum for more detailed info

Several thousand of the horseshoe cancel covers were flown in a "chase plane"
that accompanied Lindbergh on the flight between the two cities,
I am unaware if it is possible to discriminate between the two.

bfranton,
I also really like that cover because it has postmarks from 2 of my favorite towns, St Louis and Chicago. Thanks for sharing.

Stamper,
This was the response given in 2004, to a query
on another forum, in regards the cover I post here.
The author was someone I would rely on for US air info,
but still taken from an opinion.
The answer was a definite no, and to have been on the chase plane.
It wasn't explained how it was identified so.
