Hullo I'm Greg. A newie to stamp discussion forums. Last year I inherited a sizable collection of stamps from a friend whose Danish Dad had been collecting the stamps for nearly 50yrs.

It's an interesting world-wide collection with specific focus on Australia, Germany and the Scandinavian countries. I've always liked history and geography and collecting stamps seems to be a natural extension of this interest. Hope to get to know you all better.

Hello Chucky444,

It's great you decided to keep this inherited collection. To most of us stamp collecting is not just a hobby, it's a passion! I join the forum not long ago and like it. Welcome in the community. Daniel

I think we all learn new stuff every day, especially on here.

I have been off and on collecting stamps for 30+++ (don't want to think about it) years and I am always learning new stuff.

The trick is to just learn about what you are interested in at the moment and then to kind of branch out and follow other pathways as you learn of them. It can be lots of fun.

That sounds like wise words Puzzler. I've just joined a local stamp club after going it alone for a year.
Listening to the members' passion for their hobby has me re-motivated.

Hi Gaff - I've scanned a 50 odd images into my computer at 600dpi.
I'll post some as soon as I understand the different categories on this site.
Cheers
