Anyone into postage meters as a stamp collecting field?

I have a number of early postage meters from N.P.M., Pitney Bowes, etc., with various style meters, company logos, ink colors, etc., that date back to the 1940's or earlier.

I seem to recall a news article some years ago that some of the earlier ones are quite collectible because of the limited interest in them by stamp collectors of that time.

If anyone's interested, I could post a few from my collection.

There was a member that collected them. I had sent him some that I had come across. nr_notrare is how I believe Tom presented his forum identity, but I haven't seen him around since becoming active, here, again.

I am just getting into metered stamps myself. I don't have many older ones. Have managed to get a few from other countries as well. Why not post a picture of some of your favorite meters?

It was nr-notrare and you can find his post and pictures at this thread: https://goscf.com/t/2274

Why not post some? You never know who might take an interest in them.

It can be distracting having multiple people using the same avatar. Not that there is anything wrong with it.

I agree. Seeing an avatar is like recognizing a face. One face with two or three names gets confusing.

There are only a few avatars in the list to choose from when you don't have one right away and are just choosing one to start. Even if there were 50 different choices to choose from to start, some would be more appealing to more people than others I think. There are some nice stamps out there.

I know even mine and Bee See's avatars, being the same style of framing and both personal stamps (one cat, one turtle, both fantastic of course) can be confusing at times. Not to me or Bee See but to everyone else I imagine.

I have thought of changing mine but that is my favorite to date. Still searching though.

How do you get an avatar? Now that I have some images scanned into my computer, I could easily choose one of those. Or are you limited to the choices on the forum?

Just post a request with your desired image in the "Stamp Community Support" forum. Start a new topic so the administrators notice it and you should get it before too long.

Here are some of the older meters in my collection:

Now a more modern one (1969)...not too collectible for its meter, but I like the advertising for a new upcoming banking product--the precursor to MasterCard ... "Mastercharge":
