Found this "Children's Toys" and noticed the interesting selvedge. It reminds me of a wooden building blocks set I was given when I was a kid: all pieces fit perfectly in a wooden box with a sliding top. This was the first time I had seen a building block set that had shapes other than squares, rectangles and triangles. It even had a square piece with a round hole in the middle which I used to use as a window. Is this indeed what this design represents or am I completely mistaken? Thanks in advance.

Hi Tony

I think that you are pretty close on the mark with your remarks on the selvedge. The selvedge will have the same 'theme' as the stamps themselves.

Also, I think too that the toy symbol in the selvedge is also a code for the colour sheme in the stamps. Whatever colours are in the stamps, you will see in the selvedge. Something comparable to what is called "Traffic Lights" in selvedges of some other countries.

Happy collecting
