It's a stamp from Poland. Scott #21 if it's blue or #21a if it's ultramarine. Fischer catalogue also mention gray ultramarine. If it's blue the value is 20 cents otherwise it's hundreds of $. Curious about your opinions.   |

Actually their are 6 colors(listed below). However some of these are so close it is almost impossible to tell via a scan.
Blue
Ultramarine
Gray-Ultramarine
Violet Ultramarine
Pale Blue-Violet
Violet-Blue |

That's really hard to tell. Your scan needs to show a perfect color match for a good guess at this end. As it stands, your scan on my monitor appears to be violet blue, which isn't even a choice. |

Thanks revstampman and modern_who. It's sometime hard to tell the color from the scan. Even with the stamp in front of me and with a good but not an expert color gauge, it's hard to decide on a color. ravstampman I found 6 colors too in my Fischer cat. I forgot about that. To properly identify a stamp like that you need someone who saw hundreds of them.

Based on the scan I would say violet blue as well. However, forgeries are abundant. If you have a good Stamp Show or Dealer near you you could get a color opinion.
I do not know this overprint well enough to render an opinion as to authenticity. |

I see more of a pale colour with an overriding Violet.
So I lean more towards Pale Blue-Violet.
