Hi everyone,

Just a brief introduction. My name is Andrew and I'm from near Lisbon in Portugal. I'm originally from Canada, the great city of Mississauga!

I started collecting stamps around 12 years ago, stopped 3 years later and have restarted a year ago.

I mainly collect Canada, Macau, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Netherlands.
However, I collect some stamps from the UK, France, UN and Monaco. In this last case, since I discovered they love Engraved stamps (big Slania fan here).

Living in Portugal, it's not easy getting in touch with other collectors of Canadian and Scandinavian stamps so I hope to find a few here!
And also learn a bit more about this wonderful hobby.

Cheers,
Andrew

Thanks for the welcomes! Good too see some other Slania fans.

If you don't know about these 2 websites, you're missing out!

- A website from a very dedicated Slania fan: http://www.slaniastamps-heindorffhu...m/index.html
- On this online exhibits site, there's a really nice exhibit on Slania: http://www.japhila.cz/hof/0451/index0451a.htm

Definitely worth some time.

For smauggie, it's actually "Bemvindo" :) Boa vinda isn't entirely wrong but isn't used in this context.

Prince Afa, if you need any tips on Portuguese philately, just holler!

Welcome Andrew. You use to live in Mississauga! So you probably miss winter in Canada. Don't you? Yes Monaco a tempting country to collect. Daniel

Sometimes I miss it. But the weather here is so nice and calm all year long, it's hard to miss it that much.

Definitely miss seeing and walking in snow.

But I was a kid when I lived there so life is different now.
