Hey Folks, It's alway the handwriting that gets me. Basically I know it's a German WWI era Marine feldpost postcard mailed to Crefeld (Krefeld today). It apears to date to October 16, 1916 from the date written on the message. The sender appears to be from some sort of artillery regiment, but in lies my question, which one? Also is there some sort of indication of the town it originated? It might be left of the date or near the regiment name, but many times that's usually censored. The postcard is a real photo, but generic war destruction unless you can spot a maker's mark on the bricks. Might have to save and rotate the pic..sender just couldn't write in one direction.
Thanks, Will

Interesting card Battlestamps!

The sender's address appears to be Marine Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Battalion, 1st Battery and his rank looks like OberMatrose which I'd guess is something like the British term Leading Seaman.
