looks like it was double-perfed at the botom, but a perf got missed, and so the second layer of perfing was left attached at that point. Just conjecture on my part. |

this is one that came off a cover that I talked about when I first joined.. some stuff my dad took out of an old mill in Lewiston Maine. The cover was garbage, so I removed the stamp, actually it fell off on it's own. |

It is more common than you would expect. A bent perforator pin caused this misaligned perforation. While I have never seen on on the 212 I have several stamps with the same misaligned perforations on other tamps.
