Can anyone help me identify these envelope cut squares from Egypt?

Left in an old album and mounted in spaces suggesting they were 1887-1889 issue, however, my old catalog doesn't provide postal staitonery listings.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

The first one (1 piastre) was issued 1887 - two sizes of envelope, and with and without watermark ("Postes Egyptiennes"). In total, there are four variations of the basic 1 piastre envelope.

The other two were issued in 1889. One size of envelope only.

As to value - the 1 piastre blue is scarcer than the 1 millieme brown and 2 millieme green.

I think that the designs for these envelopes are fantastic. Really quite striking.

never seen these before.

There was a pyramid on every Egyption stamp for the first 48 years.

Thank you for the help. I think the designs are quite attractive, too. For the record, they all have watermarks.

I didn't post it (I suppose I could) but I also have 5 millimes (1889-90) series; 5 millimes (1889-90) letter sheet (buff paper); and an 1889 "wrapper" 2 millimes (green). All with same general design. I'm taking the dated descriptions right out of an old Scott WW Album. Otherwise, I wouldn't know a thing about them.

They are very nicely embossed. I have run accross the first example as a whole cover. Almost bought it, too.
