I ran a rough Google translation for the phrase at the bottom: "RUSSIAN MILITARY SHIP, GO!" The phrase on the top stamp looks slightly different.

I wish I could say that I found these beauties on my own, but my sister found them in a shop in Paris and saved them for a Christmas gift.

I collect early aviation poster stamps, which advertise aviation competitions. I especially like finding them used on cover. Here's a few examples:















All of these poster stamps are considered rare. I especially like the last postcard from Pau, where the sender used 2 poster stamps, and cut out the plane from one of them and pasted it in the sky.
